Samsung Gear S Photo Front

Samsung has added one more Smartwatch Samsung Gear S in its smartwatch lineup, whereas we have already seen Samsung Galaxy Gear, Gear 2, Gear Fit, Gear Live, Gear 2 Neo, in short 1 year span.

Samsung Gear S is similar to other smartwatches by Samsung as its running Tizen, basically have same functionality, display time/date/weather/news/email, track fitness and heart rate notifications as well as make and receive phone calls.

But what makes this Samsung Gear S stands out in the line?  It has a curved display moreover it connects to cellular network on its own just like your phone and its larger than its siblings. Sounds like a pretty cool device.

Just like any other Samsung smartwatch Gear S comes with a strap (which is non-removable in this case) set your comfort position on clasp system and close it. It has the similar looking Samsung’s Tizen-based OS but on Gear S it seems little laggy and it will be little irritating to make a call or type a message (comes with Fleksy keyboard). I don’t think most people will prefer typing but rather will prefer using more feasible solution to use S Voice.

Samsung Gear S Official Introduction Video by Samsung Mobile:

Samsung Gear S main attraction is surely its curved display which is pretty big and more beautiful than other smartwatches, which definitely makes people turning their heads as it cannot go unnoticed. It sports a 2-inch Super AMOLED panel at 360×480. There is also a single Home button on the watch face which is a good addition, but it will take some time for users to get familiarized with it. You might feel sometimes that the display is just a little too big but surely cannot resist it because it’s damn cool.

Its available in black and white color wide rubber strap bands, while black color seems to hide its size more than the white one. Samsung Gear S has its own cellular radio so you just need to pop in a SIM card and start calling right from your wrist without tethering it with a phone.

One thing is sure that its pretty good looking smartwatch, which surely make others to drool over it. So how do you like Samsung Gear S? Share your views with us in comment below.
