Mercedes-Benz B-Class Electric Drive 2014

The cool, sexy and sporty Mercedes Benz B-Class Electric Drive have everything to lure you, but it’s not for everyone as its look like best for those who wants to extend their luxurious and versatility range. This eco-friendly car employs a California-built, 28-kWh lithium-ion battery that gives power to a 177-horsepower electric motor. It looks almost 85% identical to CLA-Class and forthcoming GLA-Class, but the big difference is that B-Class Electric Drive have a more kind of sparkling look which is undoubtedly attractive, also this car is obviously the power train with 132-kW Electric Motor Engine. It has a top speed of 100MPH, and goes 0-60 in 7.9 Seconds or less.

Mercedes Benz B-Class Electric Drive will cost you $42,375.

Interior is vast and spacious, as it comes with insane amount of headroom, and legroom and shoulder room. Cargo space is rated at 23.5 cubic feet so you will not find any difficulty transporting big and heavy things such as large suitcases. There is nothing groundbreaking in the car as it includes the nice 5.8-inch touchscreen, car’s optional navigation system, internet access, multimedia system, radio controls and cell phone information.

The car also have a companion app which helps you to set pre-entry climate control and see charging status, car’s current remaining range and nearby charge points all from your computer or Smartphone. According to the test and reports Mercedes estimates the car can travel 85 Miles Range on a full charge which is not at all bad. The battery can be fully charged in 3.5 hours on a Level 2 charger- J1772 connector instead of Tesla Supercharger connector. The battery is covered by an 8-year, 100,000-mile warranty, as well as guaranteed to maintain 70% of its original capacity after that period of time.

There are different modes of drive, mode selection settings are available as well, which user can select according to their need.
Due to its high price and limited availability, it looks pretty much difficult to see the B-Class cracking five-digit sales numbers. It looks best for some short commutes and some highway drives, will be able to attract only some of the buyers. There is no doubt that the B-Class Electric Drive is an above-average electric vehicle but we also cannot deny some of its flaws.

The thing which can attract buyers is that Mercedes on lease can include a Level 2 home charger for an additional monthly fee which buyers can keep at the end.
