Google and Motorola joined hands to give their consumers a touch and taste of latest technology. The smartphone industry sees the advent of the Google Nexus 6 as an underdog. The smartphone may not seem as classy and trendy as its counterparts, at first glance, yet, it is not something which can be easily overlooked. Furbished with the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop, the Google Nexus 6 lets consumers enjoy the new fancy tit bits of the latest Android version.
The Google Nexus 6 is a joint venture of Motorola and Google – With the design and bodies being the effort of Motorola while the OS being from Google. The smartphone comes with a 5.96 inch screen. The display of the smartphone is a Quad High Definition AMOLED with an aspect ratio of 16:9. The screen is made of the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 material. The bigger high definition screen provides a classy experience with multimedia. Since, the smartphone comes equipped with an Adreno 420 GPU and dual front facing speakers; this enhances the visual and audio entertainment experience. While the screen might be bigger and better in every way, it is still too big for many users. Making the usage and handling of the phone quite difficult and tiring.
The Google Nexus 6 runs on the Qualcomm SnapDragon 805. Having a 2.7 GHz quad-core processor, the phone delivers impeccable processing and multitasking capabilities. The Google Nexus 6 is 10.06mm thick and weighs a bit heavy at 184g. Motorola, has come up with a trendy and classy design, yet has failed in managing to keep the smartphone on the lighter side. This does add to the downsides of the smartphone. The large screen with such added weight makes the Google Nexus 6 rather tiring to use. The smartphone comes in two markedly beautiful colors; Midnight blue, Cloud white.
The battery can also be a highlight feature of the smartphone. The 3220 mAh battery offers a talk time of up to 24 hours and video playback time of 10 hours. The Standby time is also pretty admirable with or without the ambient display. But with a heavy user, who cannot live without their smartphone, and such a laden display, the battery does not promise too much. The Google Nexus 6 is not much a ray of sunshine when it comes to battery life. Though you might rest assured that it does charge up pretty quick. Charge it for 15 minutes and it can last for up to an astonishing 6 hours.
Google Nexus 6 is available with memory options; the 32GB and 64GB However, a sheer disappointment in terms of expandable storage, this smartphone offers none. There are also sufficient options when it comes to wireless connectivity; Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, Micro USB 2.0 and NFC.
The rear primary camera is a perfect 13 MP. With features like Optical Image Stabilization, produce pitch perfect images. The front, secondary, 2MP camera might be somewhat disappointing, if you are into the selfie craze. Still, it’s pretty acceptable.
Google Nexus 6, with its highlight features promises to be a great seller if you can afford it.
